THE NOT SO 365 OF ME...DAY...?

There's A Storm In My Head & It Rains On My Bed...

Something a bit whacky and completely different to my usual stuff. I wish I had a studio & props, I'd have a field day if I had all those things, and especially some models to shoot, but sadly I don't, so I have to make do with me. Recently, I've been feeling that I want to do something else with my photography, go in a different direction, but I'm not quite sure what that direction is yet...
This has had some manipulation, and that was the point in doing this, I wanted to create something. I made the clouds out of some material I had lying around.
Was good fun messing about with this one ;o)
Title from Enrique Eglesias' Addicted lyrics
I can't keep up with this 365 project, its proving to be too much, so I've decided I'll just blog as and when I can, oh.. and I've renamed it too lol...

THE 365 OF ME...DAY 46

46/375

Bobbyzilla

Bobby is my favourite subject to take photographs of at the moment...Really? I hear you say, we hadn't noticed!  ;o)

This morning, while I was getting ready for work, my son came upstairs with the lizard and plonked himself on my bed. It was quite comical, cause I had the TV on, and Bobby was mesmerised by it.

He had his little head tilted up and was transfixed to 'Judge Judy' (my guilty pleasure) and while he was doing that, one of my Schnauzers, who was sat on the floor looking up at the bed, was also transfixed, to Bobby! I tried taking a photo of the dog watching the lizard while the lizard watched the telly, but my dog moved just as I'd got my settings sorted. Gah! I'll have to try and get that one again!

THE 365 OF ME...DAY 45

Its Ruddy'Ard Work is This...

This is Reece, a builder who's helping us build a barn in the field. Its a bit of a tricky one as the field is on a steepish slope, so the ground has to be built up a little with these Gabion Baskets.

I was pottering outside with my camera after I finished work today, him and another lad were busy beavering away. For young lads they can knock the socks of most in the working hard stakes. Anyway, he happened to be leaning over the baskets, and I saw this photo opportunity. I shouted "DONT MOVE, STAY THERE!... lol poor lad...but he obliged....bless him ;o)

Winter Sustenance

The sun was shining yet again yesterday. I'm not complaining, I love the sunshine and can't wait for summer to arrive.

Not a lot to say about this one really. Its a shrub I planted a few years ago now, forgot the name of it at this moment I'm writing this. At this time of year its covered in lots of gorgeous red berries, and when they drop, I'm left with really nice cream and green leaves throughout the year.

Im rushing these two blogs tonight (the other about to be posted in a minute) because I want to watch catch-up tv, its the third episode of something I've been following and I'm gripped lol.

THE 365 OF ME...DAY 43

43/365

A Trickle Here, A Trickle There...

Went down into my local woods today for a little walk with my hubby. Took the old tripod with me, just in case we should find a nice little waterfall on our way. This was all we could find really.

I don't know what it is at the moment with my photography, I just feel like I'm not making much headway. I should really make more time to go out and practise, but with other commitments, sometimes its just not that possible. I intend to get out a bit more in the summer though, especially when we go to Anglesey. There are some wonderful sunsets there and a lot of dramatic scenery. I want to do a really nice photo of the coast, then have it hanging on my wall.

THE 365 OF ME..DAY 42

42/365

Carli...Carli...CARLI

As the weather was so beautiful today, instead of going into the office, my son and I went on a little drive to Styal Woods.

My relationship with Styal goes back a long way, and especially bluebell woods, where I used to go every Sunday after church for two years. Its been 46 years since I last walked down the woodland pathways to the river at the bottom there, and it hasn't changed a bit, apart from the river becoming wider than I remember it!  I've made past visits to the surrounding area, but never ventured as far as the woods before.

My son loved how pretty it was, and our aim in going there, was to find someplace peaceful for me to take photos, and for him to play his guitar and to take inspiration from.

There were plenty of people walking about, and one guy in particular came past us with 2 sheepdogs. One was called Angel and the other Carli. How did I know this ? because he was shouting at the top of his voice CARLI CARLI every 2 seconds, there was the occasional ANGEL too, but mostly it was Carli! The shouting went on constantly for at least an hour, at first Sam and I thought he had lost his dog or something, but no, I think he just liked the sound of his own voice and he hated the peace and quiet. He really got on our nerves with his shouting, so much so that I actually shouted 'shut up' back to him! It didn't work lol....finally we walked back to the entrance of the woods far away from him and found a nice tree to sit on...Ahh... peace at last!

The Return

Taken with my phone at the DVLA again. Yep, I was back there, but THIS time, I had all the correct documents... I  whipped my Samsung out and snapped away. I do like my Android very much, I love the large screen and how you can personalise absolutely everything.  it takes quite good photos, but I don't think the quality is as sharp as my iPhone was, even though they're both 8 megapixels. Maybe its just me !
